About Me Paul Lewis Bristol Gestalt Person-Centred Counselling

I offer an Integrative Humanistic Counselling Service, both online and face to face. This means I have studied more than one approach to Counselling and I continue to incorporate other models as well.  I always endeavor to offer you empathy, honesty, acceptance and respect.  With a belief that we can all change to become the best we can be, I am open to helping you find the best approach for your particular needs.

As an Integrative Counsellor I mainly refer to the Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Person-Centred models to help you work through your issues and concerns.  As part of my ongoing development I have further incorporated various different models including Imago Relationship Therapy, some Psychosynthesis and other Psychotherapeutic approaches, as well as some solution-focussed tools and techniques.  When it comes to Counselling I believe that one size does not fit all, because we each have unique personalities and needs.  My aim is to understand your specific needs and tailor an approach that works for you.

With over 8 years of professional training and experience I have worked in various fields including alcohol and addiction issues, depression and anxiety, and sexual health and identity issues.  I understand the importance of considering each person as a unique individual and work in an LGBTQ+ affirmative way, recognising that we are all fundamentally worthy.
